Loose wave, measured in inches

MEIMEI makes one texture properly: a loose wave in 100% human hair, on HD lace, glueless and 360 caps. We shelve the whole range by length first, because that is the decision everything else follows from.

Shop by length

Every length in the range, with what it actually costs. Loose wave sits two to three inches shorter than the same number measured straight, so the guide below works backwards from your own height.

Which length lands where you want it?

The single most returned thing in this category is a length that sat higher or lower than expected. Wig length is measured from the crown, not from your shoulder, so it is worth two measurements before ordering.

What density actually means

Density is how much hair is on the cap, expressed against a natural head of hair at 100%. It is not quality and it is not length. It is volume, and it is the number people most often misread.

Lace and density »
200%Full but lightThe everyday density. Reads natural in daylight and photographs without looking heavy.
220%Full with bodyWhat the 360 caps carry. Enough weight to hold a wave pattern through a long day.
250%Thick, dramaticWhere the HD lace fronts sit. Big hair that still parts cleanly, and the density most often photographed.

A first install, in six steps

Glueless caps changed the entry point for this category: an adjustable band, pre-cut lace and pre-bleached knots mean the first wear needs no adhesive and no appointment.

  1. Braid down or use a wig cap, flat at the hairline.
  2. Try the wig on before touching the lace, and set the band.
  3. Line the lace up a finger's width behind your own hairline.
  4. Tighten the straps, then the combs at the temples.
  5. Lay the baby hair with a little mousse, not gel.
  6. Shake the wave out with fingers, never a brush.

What makes one last a year, and one last a month

Human hair wigs do not wear out evenly. They fail at the lace and at the ends, and both failures come from the same three habits: washing too often, brushing dry, and sleeping in it loose.

  • Co-wash, do not shampoo, and only every eight to ten wears.
  • Detangle wet, from the ends up, with a wide tooth comb.
  • Sleep in a braid and a satin bonnet. Cotton is what shreds the ends.
  • Heat under 300°F, and always with a protectant. It is real hair and it burns like real hair.

Cap size, in one measurement

Almost every wig in this range is a medium cap, which is built for a 21.5 to 22.5 inch head. That covers most adults, and the adjustable straps take up the rest. Measure once and you never wonder again.

1Around the hairlineStart at the front hairline, above the ear, around the nape and back.
2Front to napeOver the crown, hairline to the base of the skull.
3Ear to earAcross the top of the head, from the top of one ear to the other.
4CompareUnder 21.5 inches, tighten the straps fully. Over 22.5, look for a large cap.

Colour, and what can be changed

The range ships in three colours, and because it is unprocessed human hair, two of them can be taken further at home. That is a genuine difference from a synthetic wig, and it is worth knowing before you buy.

Natural blackThe base colour on the HD lace and glueless caps. Takes dye and bleach.
#1B off blackThe 360 line. A softer black that reads brown in daylight.
Chocolate brownAlready lifted and toned, so leave it be rather than bleaching over it.

Any colouring is a one-way trip and it shortens the life of the hair. If you plan to dye, buy the natural black, and have it done by someone who colours wigs on a block head rather than on your scalp.

The brand

A brand that picked one texture and stayed with it

MEIMEI sells through its own Amazon storefront under the name MEIMEIforYourBeauty, and the range is unusually disciplined: one texture, loose wave, in 100% human hair, built out across 11 lengths and four cap constructions rather than spread thin across a dozen textures.

That focus is the reason the catalogue reads the way it does. A 16 inch glueless and a 36 inch 360 lace are the same hair on a different cap, so a customer who liked one already knows what the other will feel like.

We are an independent catalogue of that range, not the maker. What we add is the length-first shelving, the sizing arithmetic and the buying guides that the listings do not carry in one place.

How the hair is specified

What the listings actually state

  • 100% human hair, unprocessed, described as testable by flame.
  • Loose wave, a soft open wave rather than a curl pattern.
  • Pre-plucked hairline with baby hair and bleached knots.
  • Medium cap, 21.5 to 22.5 inches, with adjustable straps and combs.
  • Restylable: straightened, curled, dyed or bleached.

Material and construction detail is taken from the specifications on the listings. MEIMEI does not publish where the hair is sourced or where the caps are made, and we do not invent it.

What buyers rate it

One number, honestly placed

Amazon pools reviews across every length and cap in a variation family, so this rating belongs to the MEIMEI loose wave line as a whole rather than to any single wig. We show it once here instead of printing the same stars on every card.
